Whether designing lavish sets for photo shoots or graciously appointed yet relaxed interiors for residential clients, Lynn Nigro loves creating distinctive spaces...and making it look easy.

A Texas native, she moved to NYC after graduating from UT Austin having a landed a job as an advertising copywriter at a Madison Avenue agency.

Excited at first, but not what she expected, she left advertising for public relations, and later left PR for the movies when a friend asked her to art direct a small movie he was making. She never looked back.

Low budget movies led to bigger budget projects, lots of tv commercials and Law & Order, where she worked as the set decorator for a number of years. Eventually, she found her way to the world of fashion advertising working for some of the world's top fashion photographers and editorial publications as a set designer.

The models started paying attention to her sets, asking where to get this or that, and soon they were asking her to decorate their apartments.

Her work has taken her around the world. Inspired by places, spaces and the people who inhabit them, she credits her vast exposure to a wide range of destinations as her most direct design influence. A shopper at heart, she navigates the globe using design districts and flea markets to plot her course.
